We start by checking a number of apps that can recognize most phone numbers. This is the most typical way to find out who is calling, as they can handle it for you automatically.
Alternatively
you have to manually dial the number yourself, which does not give you the opportunity to know who is calling before you answer the phone (unless you are extremely fast on the keys!)
1) The Truecaller app (our recommendation)
This is the app I use and it is really good at telling belgium phone number data who is calling. Both when it’s spam and when it’s sellers.
Truecaller recognizes numbers and people behind across millions of users. That is that if you install Truecaller, you also help to retrieve the numbers that are in your phone book.
Your mobile sees the number that is calling, but does not recognize it in your phone book.
The Truecaller app also sees the number and checks it in their HUGE phonebook on their server
If they recognize the number
they’ll show you who they think is calling, based on their access to millions of phone books.
It works incredibly well, especially when it comes to annoying spam calls and calls from salespeople. Because people tend to save these numbers and call them “seller” etc. I also do that myself, and thus I help Truecaller keep track of who is calling.
I have set the Truecaller app to automatically block calls from people marked as spam, sellers, etc. in their database.
It has eliminated calls from foreign sellers by 95%! Something how to embrace consumers through wifi marketing? that was otherwise shit-annoying until I got the app installed!
A nice win-win scenario for everyone!
You will find the Truecaller App in the App store and in resource data the Google Play store for Android mobiles.
2) The SyncMe app (the alternative)
Another alternative is the app “SyncMe”. They have a product that is similar to Truecaller in many respects.
